IWC Portugieser launch
We begin when we returned from BaselWorld 2015 with the showing of the Portugieser watches by IWC. Held at the newly renovated Victoria Concert Hall on April 8.
Blancpain: Commitment to the Oceans
Marc Hayek’s strong interests in diving shows in his expression in Blancpain’s commitment to the the Oceans. On April 10, Blancpain hosted a wonderful dinner showcasing their commitment to the longevity of the oceans and the health of the planet. The event was peppered with luminaries from the diving world who gave interesting accounts of their experiences. Of particular focus was the dive which re-discovered the cœlacanth, a fish long thought to have been extinct, but erroneously so.
Ladurée 2nd Anniversary in Singapore
Then on April 15, Ladurée hosted her 2nd Anniversary in Singapore. Wonderful cocktail and interesting stories from two Ladurée box collectors. Fascinating stories!
Buben & Zörweg MkIV launch in Singapore
And on April 17, the German juggernaut who makes very high end luxury safes and watch winders hosted a special lunch to unveil their MkIV. The winder/safe is modeled after Ironman with colours mimicking the movie character.
Swatch Club 25 th Anniversary celebrations
Finally we round off the fortnight with the Swatch Club 25th Anniversary celebrations. For the celebrations they launched the special watch for Singapore’s Jubilee celebrations, the SG50. And an exhibition of all 22 pieces of the Swatch Club editions. A special message by video from Chairman Nick Hayek Jr, and an awesome Swiss band, Pegasus, flown in for the event. Chapeau!
Deployant visits Zenith in Le Locle
And the Deployant team visits Zenith in Le Locle and gets a hero’s welcome, complete with the Singapore flag flown at the Zenith HQ. Stay tuned for a factory visit report soon.
