JeweLuxe comes around again this year, and it is bigger and better, especially for Independent Watchmaking. We continue to be the Official Watch Media for the event, and will be moderating a session “NOT JUST THE SWISS”. You are invited, details within.

JeweLuxe 2019

The show is a curated festival converging independent designers, houses and makers to Tent@Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 11th to 20th October. The festival will un as two Editions:

  • Edtion One 11th to 15th October will spotlight rare gem and iconic jewellery collections.
The inclined tourbillon from the Candaux Half Hunter Tourbillon.
  • Edition Two 16th to 20th October will focus on the craft of jewellery and timepieces.

Our focus is naturally on Edition Two which will showcase the works of Independent watchmaking from AHCI as well as other independents.

Edition Two: October 16 to 20

Debuting at this 3rd JeweLuxe are independent watchmakers Vincent Calabrese (Switzerland), Avantist (Singapore), and Andersen Genève. They will join Konstantin Chaykin (Russia), Bexei Watches by Aaron Becsei (Hungary), Sinclair Harding (UK), Jorg Hysek (Switzerland), Meccaniche Orologi Milano (Italy), David Candaux (Switzerland), Ludek Seryn (Czech), Masahiro Kikuno (Japan), Beauregard (Canada), Petermann Bedat Switzerland and Designa Individual (Belgium).

Finishing details on a Bexei movement. Aaro Becsei will be showing a new model in JeweLuxe this year.

Not just the Swiss

One of the seminar styled sessions will be a panel discussion which is moderated by our Chief Editor on the subject of watchmaking (and clockmaking) outside of Switzerland.

The focus will be on specialist watchmakers, and will feature as speakers Aaron Bexei (Hungary), Masahiro Kukino (Japan), Konstantin Chaykin (Russia) and Sinclair Harding (Britain).
