The Legacy Machine No. 2 series was initially launched in 2013 in three variants; red gold, white gold and platinum. For 2017, we see the series being complete with the inclusion of an LM2 Titanium limited edition. In this edition, the stand-out feature is undoubtedly the bluish-green face of the dial, obtained using the same CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) technique which was used for the LM1 M.A.D Dubai.

Case, Dial and Hands
The LM2 Titanium like its predecessors, features a three-dimensional architecture with multiple levels on it. The surface of the dial is the top plate of the movement and it was specially treated as well as engraved with Legacy Machine at the bottom for a unique finishing and unmistakable identity.
The sub-dial was the result of heating multiple layers of lacquer, in order to achieve the white texture desired.
At the top section of the dial, we can see the hour-minute sub-dial which was made through the heating of multiple layers of lacquer to achieve the white texture desired. The white lacquer finish is being well complemented by the bright blued 18k gold hands, adorning the dial. If one looks closely, the hands are bent in a way to match the convex lacquer surface which shows great attention to detail.
The planetary differential is positioned just above the dial and supported in place by a double-arc mirror-polished bridge inset with three large jewels. Being the key element in the double regulator system, raising it above the movements allows for a better view of the mechanism at work.
The bespoke balance wheels are mirror images of each other and they would react differently due to its natural movement.
The most prominent detail of the dial comes in the form of the two oscillating bespoke balance wheels. Both balance wheels are mirror images of each other thus they would react differently and the distance between both are well-calculated to avoid resonance and any interference with regulation.
The Movement
The LM2 operates at a frequency of 18,000 bph and features 45 hours of power reserve. The movement is the result of a collaboration with two renowned figures in the watchmaking world, Jean-Francois Mojon and Kari Voutilainen.
The movement features Geneva waves, gold chatons, mirror-polished bevels and bridges designed with deliberate internal beveled angles, showcasing exceptional finishing from the watchmakers.
Through their technical inputs, MB&F could reach the right balance between aesthetics and quality, keeping it consistent with high-quality timepieces of the 19th century. The names of the two men responsible for the design and finishing of the movement have their names engraved on the back. The LM2 is a visual treat with its three-dimensional architecture and we like its design especially the choice of a bluish-green finish on the dial surface. The design of the watch was made to be simple yet sleek too while at the same time, not compromising on the technical aspects of it.
The movement is a brilliant piece of work, thanks to the collaboration efforts with two very well-known watchmakers, tapping onto their experience and watchmaking expertise to a great extent. The Legacy Machine No. 2 Titanium is priced at $226,000 and comes in a limited release of 18 pieces and it is fitted with a black hand-stitched alligator strap with titanium tang buckle.
