Hi,

I have to agree with Ralf completely.

I personally had the same experience in Lange boutique here in Singapore. I would need to by other watches even to be considered to buy what I came for despite of owning Lange watches that have been bought earlier.

I have not stepped into Lange boutique since and currently I doubt if I ever will.

Thanks for the info interview. I am sorry, but the answers of Mr Schmid are not authentic or convincing!

If he would be really interested in his customers he would answer direct mails to him or at least get someone to answer for him. I never got any answer on my mail with which I complained about the philosophy to not sell the Odysseus to longterm L&S collectors. Instead this watches are sold to everybody who buy additional watches in their boutiques with the effect that quite some watches end up in the secondary market for absurd amounts.

Well, that is an effective measure to push longterm fans away from the brand. I still well remember our joint visit to Glashütte in 2000. Unfortunately those times are gone and only thing that counts is making more turnover. Who cares about longterm collectors who supported the brand for decades but „did the mistake“ to never buy at a brand-owned boutique.

Anyway – a very sad development but apparently that‘s today’s world. I lost interest in L&S. They still manufacture great timepieces but do not follow a matching brand behavior philosophy.
