Setting the time on this timepiece and learning to read it might be daunting at first, but once grasped, is a simple and intuitive user experience.

We have compiled a series of simple steps for users who have been wondering or were curious how it works. In this scenario, our protagonist begins his journey in TYO Japan, and takes a trip to DEL India.

Adjust the Glashütte Original Senator Cosmopolite in 5 steps

  1. Always begin with both home time and local time synced.
  2. Ensure that the IATA country code is displaying your ‘Home’ country code. In this case, TYO.
  3. If the time is set during standard time, check that the country code is displayed in the Standard Time window. The contrary holds for Daylight Savings Time.
  4. Upon arrival at the destination country, India, turn the crown at 4 to adjust local time independently.
  5. Adjust the main hands anti-clockwise if travelling westwards, till you see the destination country code in the STD window.

  1. Why are there two cities in the windows when dest is DEL confusing arr. plus yiu have to always know DST status on desr so nothing here is auto like in Astron or other Radio controlled. Xountry codes just causes confusion. Better to have 1/2 hr increments and u can handle almost every dest. or 1/3 hr doe all –get rid of all the symbols
