We take a quick look at the gorgeous new blue dial on the FiftySix Complete Calendar.

For this article, we will focus on the new blue dial. This new release was introduced in SIHH 2019, where the FiftySix collection was enhanced with several new models with blue dials. We also reviewed the Self Winding version here. It too is now available in the same blue hued dial, which we find totally mesmerizing.
No technical changes were made to this new model. The case remains 40mm in diameter in the steel FiftySix shaped case.
The only difference to the 2019 update is the dial colour. The shade of blue is what VC’s Christian Selmoni calls petrol blue. This hue is specially developed for the FiftySix collection, and used in this Complete Calendar as well as the Self Winding model. The dial feature a sector-type design with the magnificent blue permeating. The blue is punctuated by a chapter ring with arabic numerals. The center is an opaline finish with a sunburst rim. The markers and hands are treated with a white luminescent material. The moon on the moonphase display sub-disc is also in 18k white gold.
The other specifications remain the same, including the caliber 2460 QCL/1 movement used. This is a well accomplished movement with the trimmings of fine high horology. The finishing on the movement is very well done, and the case back is a pleasure to gaze on.
