Graham is an independent Swiss brand with a rich legacy inherited from the great British watchmaker George Graham. The modern brand used their expertise to build, in collaboration with Christophe Claret, the Geo Graham Orrey Tourbillon. We reviewed the interesting and modern Graham Chronofighter Superlight Carbon. In the same collection family, the brand has a beautiful series of Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art, inspired by the decorative painting of the nose and fuselage of military aircrafts of the 40s. Preparing for the beautiful Christmas time, Graham introduces a 25 pieces limited series of the Nose Art with a pin-up girl, Merry, dressed in a sweet and fancy Santa’s outfit.
Graham Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Ltd
The Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art pays a homage to the planes from the second world war. Starting in the 40s, the planes had a decorative painting on their nose and fuselage featuring pin-up girls. This a sweet and sometimes funny decoration was personalised for each plane for the delight and enjoyment of the crew and general public. The plane’s name was the name of the girl painted on it.
Graham released a small series of four models, 100 pieces per model, with pin-up girls painted on the dial. Under the name of Sally, Anna, Lilly and Nina, the Chronofighters are a luscious collection that it will bring a smile on your face.
The sun brushed vintage dials have the girls hand-painted on the right side of the dial. Below can be seen the four models of the Vintage Nose Art collection and a short clip of the artisan’s live work.
Graham Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Ltd – Merry
Graham brings for 25 future lucky owners an even more limited edition of 25 pieces of the Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art: Merry. This Santa’s baby Merry watch is the brand’s Merry Christmas best wishes for the Graham collectors and enthusiasts.
The Merry Chronofighter features a pin-up girl, completing the previous four girls collection. “Merry” comes in 44 mm steel Chronofighter case with the left, oversized, Graham specific, steel fast-action start/stop trigger and reset pusher. This construction has a certain charm that is inspired by the vintage chronographs.
The watch is covered with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, that offers an excellent visibility to the lovely dial.
The Merry’s dial is a beautiful dial with a 30 minutes counter at 6 o’clock. The layout is a classic 30minutes configuration rotated with 180 degrees. That means the day/date indication is found on 9 o’clock position, instead of the classical 3 o’clock.
“Merry” has a blue sun-brushed dial decorated with a hand-painted Santa’s baby, named Merry, dressed in festive Christmas suit. Below is revealed a part of the tremendous work necessary to realise the Merry’s dial
The day/date is a white print on a black background which goes hand in hand white Super-LumiNova hands, numerals and indexes. Under the date is written the piece number N° xx/25. The detail emphasis, even more, the idea of the limited edition.
The Chronofighter has rhodium plated minutes and seconds’ counters hands. The chronograph features a white varnished chrono hand with red tip. The legibility is excellent.
Chronofighter Superlight Vintage Nose Art is fitted with a see-through, screwed sapphire crystal case back that reveals the calibre G1747. The movement is based on the well known, one might say legendary, the Valjoux 7750.
The movement uses a modern 4Hz balance wheel, offering 48 hours of power reserve. The calibre G1747 is machined but well decorated. The Côtes de Genève present on the ball bearing set rotor looks very well, offering a balanced, pleasant view.
Graham Chronofighter Superlight Vintage Nose Art Ltd Merry is a nicely executed aviation inspired chrono, with a warm look. It comes with an exquisite hand-sewn blue calf leather and a red canvas strap. The last one is perfect for the Christmas’ eve.
The wristwatch is an excellent Christmas gift for a pin-up fan and a watch collector. While the size and the atypical left crown design might be a no for some collectors, we are more than sure that the “Merry” will be an indubitable hit. For more information please visit the Graham Website.

You guys REALLY need to hire an English speaking writer who can proofread your articles. The grammar is embarrassing and the articles are painful to read. At the very least, you should be using of one of the many online proofreading and editing services. Despite what some may think or say in this day and age of instant information, proper grammar and spelling in the language in which you are writing IS still important. Not caring about it shows a lack of professionalism.
6K for an ugly 7750? Pass. Who’s the audience for this stuff?
